Once we all agree on the website design mockups, the tricky part begins: coding.
Photoshop PSDs will go through a stage commonly known as slicing. Layouts will be literally sliced up and stand ready to become part of your beautiful, future website pages. It is during this time that our designers will make sure every bit of XHTML code is standards compliant and semantically valid. CSS will be meticulously optimized and tested across all major browsers, so that the design looks great regardless of browser and platform. During this time, some extra coffee really helps getting the job done.
Web development also starts around this time. Thanks to modern technology and our best practices which strictly separate the presentation layer from the business layer, we are able to work on application development while designers work on getting their markup nice and lean. Depending on what your project needs are, web development may go pretty fast, especially if all you need is a commercially available CMS solution like ExpressionEngine. On the other hand, custom application development can take a lot more time. Development time of several months is not unheard of, especially if your project needs a highly customized application development job.
