Millennium Custom Auto, a custom cars body shop in Long Island, NY, was coming out of an horror story with another local developer and wanted to redesign and redevelop its already existing website to better represent its business. Their vision was for a simple and well organized collection of their most recent projects with the possibility to add pages and pictures on their own. We came to their rescue, and did justice to them!
Our Solution
We took everything apart and started from scratch. Copy was the only thing that was saved and improved. By working with MCI, Webmantica started by redesigning the company's logo. The owners wanted to keep the two pistols in the logo as they have represented the business since the beginning. So we designed a more appealing logo that better represented what MCI is and what it does.
After analyzing the company's business in depth, 3 main sections were identified: Collision Repair, Limo Building, and Customs; representing the 3 major company's areas of focus. Webmantica installed and customized a CMS, enabling MCI to update, add, or remove content on its own. A captivating, professional, and polished layout was created and a more appropriate color palette was chosen.
Special attention was given to the projects section where a mix of copy and pictures showing all the steps involved in rebuilding a custom car gives the user a clean view of the custom and limo building process. Then, Webmantica also added a contact page to allow prospective customer to easily inquire about the company's services. All XHTML markup and CSS adheres strictly to the most current web standards, as well as the PHP/MYSQL powering the site's back-end infrastructure.
