The Biotech Start-up

Eurovix USA, a subsidiary of Italian biotech company Eurovix S.r.l., wanted to have an online presence for their new US start-up. They envisioned their website to have a brochure-like look with the added functionalities offered by dynamic components. They desired a design and a combination of content and graphics that would enable users to instantaneously understand the market they were in: biotechnologies for the environment.

Our Solution

Webmantica designed and developed a unique site tailored to the business of Eurovix USA. We started by creating a fresh identity for the newly formed business. We created a logo, corporate identity, and a simple, polished site layout. Two main sections were identified: an Environment section that would discuss the company's several areas of focus (Environmental, Zootechnics, and Agro), and a Products section which is a catalog of all the products the company intends to commercialize in the U.S.A. In addition, links to pdf versions of each product's technical sheet are provided on each page, so that users can download the info as they wish.

Then, one more section was added: the About Us page which further branches into several more subpages discussing the company's Certifications, Publications, References and so on. For the Home page, we decided to install and customize a very neat Javascript slideshow that would enable users to get a quick glimpse of the company's three main fields of focus. The Scriptaculous Javascript framework together more custom coding and modifications did the trick.

In order to give a better sense of environment, a graphic character represented by a frog was chosen. It appears in several different postures and positions throught the site. The owners were delighted!!
